Above mentioned lean-tools are well adapted,but what happens when an order is placed & production for the same is carried-out for 50%~60% & suddenly the order gets cancelled.

Please let us know the BM targets across the industry for:-
1) On time delivery to customer.
2) Inventory Turns.
3) Production efficiency.
4) OEE.
5) Customer Complaints.

It would also be useful to mention the significant contribution workforces have on these methodologies, if given the opportunity. What is disheartening to see is an upper level managerial team harvesting ideas out of the rest of the workforce without inviting them to be a part of the overall agenda. Working as a cohesive team will ensure the workplace and the lean manufacturing environment operates like a well-oiled machine.

Good catch-all synopsis. It is also good to note that many of these Lean approaches are applicable as well to transactional and business processes for both internal and external customers. The concept of Value-Added activity is heavily emphasized.
