Chris,

We have seen that outsourcing of billing benefits the doctors due to reasons such as better and rigorous processes being followed (the in house billing can be sloppy at times) that clearly results in increased collections. I have not seen such a simple article before that shows the benefit of outsourcing in "black & white".

If you consider some of the additional long term benefits including being able to report PQRI (sending quality reports more smoothly with outsourced billing), cleaner data being available (in case of any audits/legal issues that may result), we have also seen doctors spending some hours on in house
billing - just asking questions/follow up etc - say a couple of hours every week, the balance tilts even more towards outsourcing.

Regards,
Siva

This is indeed insightful. However, the choice still remains with the organizations taking many other parameters into considerations other than cost alone, which is the sole purpose here. Informative though! Thanks.

Having a visual cost analysis will help many medical bililng companies talk to a physicians to help them see how outsourcing this function is a cost benefit to them. Your information is very useful and I would like to pass this on to our customers as an aid. Thank you for putting this all together!

I appreciate the effort taken to get to a "close to actual" summary of the cost savings to physicians if they choose outsourcing their medical billing.Being in the accounting and tax business for 17+ years and the medical billing business for the last 4 years the physicians' bottom line is always our concern so this information you have provided will be implemented into my presentations to my potential billing clients.Once again, the extent you have taken to gather and compile this information is very helpful. Thank you, Cloe Sill, President
