Recent technology I’ve seen in the property management industry are iPads being used as leasing tools and office kiosks to pay rent on and put in maintenance requests. Both Property Solutions and Vaultware have released an app for the iPad–SiteTablet and Leasing Tablet.

The internet has finally evolved to empower movers to easily graze a broad variety of online venues. In tough economic times online movers may feel more confident than in years passed renting sight un-seen… the scope of financial benefits ranging anywhere from one less tank of gas to Airfare in some cases.

I have been in the property management business for over 25 years. Previously there was no internet presence. Now, much of the business is internet based. The internet is a huge help to people relocating, giving them a visual aid of what is available. Much communication can be done prior to a prospect arriving in a new town. We still get a lot of action off of signs, however.
